Our Year in 100 Seconds

2025 was a year full of movement, inspiration, and shared moments. Alongside many highlights, there were also challenges – and they reminded us once again of what trust can make possible, and how valuable it is to keep moving forward together.

Unforgettable moments include our big Staff Party with over 800 team members, the release of our book Butter bis zum Rand, and of course, the opening of the new Negishi Sushi Bar at Stadelhofen.

Christmas visits 2025

Just like every year, shortly before Christmas, Daniel & Manuel slip into their festive costumes and head out on their legendary Christmas tour through all 29 restaurants across the German-speaking part of Switzerland. This time, dressed as St. Nicholas & his trusty donkey – a true dream team!

With their not-quite-reindeer-powered (but definitely winterproof) sleigh, they bring delicious Guetsli, Schöggeli 🍪 and a whole lot of holiday cheer directly to our teams on site. It’s their personal way of saying thank you – for another year filled with passion, hospitality, and team spirit.

This heartwarming tradition is one of our yearly highlights. Because really, what better way to wrap up the year than with a smile, a warm hug – and a few extra snacks? ✨

Re-Opening Negishi Niederdorf

After around a month of renovations, we’re happy to welcome you back to Negishi Sushi Bar Niederdorf with refreshed interiors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Cozy seating, balanced colours, green accents, and soft lighting create a space to arrive, relax, and enjoy. 🌿

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, a relaxed evening, or a shared dinner, the team is very much looking forward to welcoming you back at Negishi Sushi Bar. 🍣

Fundraising goal for Lewis achieved 💜

Yesterday, our second Charity Dinner took place at Miss Miu Zürich. Every two years, we organise this special evening to support a family together with KMSK (Association for Children with Rare Diseases) – this time, Lewis and his family.

Around 50 guests accepted the invitation to an evening dedicated to togetherness. A lovingly curated four-course menu, inspiring insights into the work of KMSK, and a few magical moments created a truly special atmosphere. ✨

The highlight of the evening was the handover of the donation cheque for CHF 11,000 to Lewis and his family. Thanks to this support, an electric Opair wheelchair bike can now be financed – allowing the family to enjoy shared outings once again.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who made this evening possible. 💜

CHF 17'000.- for a great cause

Together, We Made a Difference

From April to the end of September, our guests supported the Stiftung Schweizerische Schule für Blindenführhunde  with every charity dish – and together we raised an incredible 👉 CHF 17,000.–!

The donation will help train guide, assistance, social, and autism support dogs – giving people with disabilities more independence, safety, and quality of life. 💙

New charity partner & dishes

Starting October 1, 2025, our restaurants will be supporting Buy Food with Plastic. The initiative enables people in countries like Ghana, Nicaragua, and India to exchange plastic bottles for a warm meal. In this way, hunger is alleviated while plastic is removed from the environment and returned to the cycle. Beyond that, Buy Food with Plastic creates local recycling infrastructures where plastic is turned into useful products and jobs — giving families new hope and perspectives.

For every Charity Dish you enjoy, the FWG-Foundation automatically donates CHF 1.– to Buy Food with Plastic. ❤️
